Vacation and Leave Policies

Understand the regulations on vacation and other types of leave in Togo

Holiday leave

In Togo, employees earn the right to paid vacation leave at a rate of two working days for each month of continuous service with the same employer. This leave is calculated on a pro-rata basis for partial months of work.

Continuous Service

The right to vacation leave is dependent on uninterrupted employment with the same employer.

Unused Leave

Employees are given the choice to carry over a portion of their unused leave to the following year, provided they have the agreement of their employer. Alternatively, they can opt to be compensated financially for any unused days.

Scheduling

The scheduling of vacation leave is typically a joint decision made by both employers and employees.
